Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) is at Devanahalli, about 35–40 km north of the city centre. It has two terminals. Terminal 2, the bamboo-and-garden "terminal in a garden", handles most international flights. Check your airline's terminal before you leave.

Getting into the city

  • BMTC Vayu Vajra: air-conditioned airport buses (KIA-series routes) to Majestic, MG Road, Whitefield, Electronic City, HSR Layout, Banashankari and other hubs. This is the cheapest comfortable option.
  • Airport taxis & app cabs: official taxi counters and pickup zones for Uber, Ola and others are well signposted.
  • Train: a halt station near the airport has a few suburban services, but they are infrequent.

Allow time. Depending on traffic and where you are going, the drive takes anywhere from 45 minutes to over 2 hours. Most locals allow at least two hours for an evening drive to the airport.
