Mysore Pak, made from gram flour, ghee and sugar, is said to have been created in the Mysore palace kitchens. The two styles are the porous, crumbly original and the soft, ghee-rich version. Also try obbattu/holige (a sweet stuffed flatbread), chiroti and the famous Dharwad peda from north Karnataka.
